I am a young musician and composer, and a graduate of the University of Edinburgh with BMus in Music and an MMus in Composition.
I play flugelhorn in Edinburgh University Brass Band, and performed a solo with the band in April 2019; an arrangement of Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez. I have held a number of positions on the band's committee, including Publicity Officer, Librarian and Secretary.
I have been playing trumpet and piano for over 15 years, and have a great passion for music.
I have played professionally in a number of gigs, including solo work and with ensembles such as Stein Brass.
I love to compose for many different genres and ensembles, and I draw large inspiration from some of the great composers of the past, such as Bach, Chopin and Tchaikovsky. I like to create music within my own style, and with modern twists, whilst still incorporating influences from previous eras, especially the Romantic period.
I can tutor in music theory and i give trumpet instruction. I can also help students with aural tests for ABRSM exams, and tutor for National 5, Higher, Advanced Higher and equivalent school Music exams.
I have a basic disclosure Scotland certificate, as well as a PVG for working with Primary aged children.
